What I did for My Birthday

So it was my b-day last thursday. My husband wanted to make a fun trip somewhere. I decided I wanted to go to Chattanooga for the day. I really wanted to go thrift shopping. So, I know, most people don’t like thrift stores (or won’t talk about it if they do go). I guess I am a little weird, but that’s exactly what I wanted to do on my birthday.

Chattanooga is home to an “America’s Thrift Store”, the Mall of America sized thrift. The dress aisle is like a mile long and it takes forever to get through the shoes (my 2 fav spots). It’s like going on a hunting expedition. The best part is the prices, they are way lower than most other stores. I had the pleasure of shopping in ”my areas” by myself, while my husband carted (or should I say buggied, I’m down south now) my 5 year old daughter around the store. It was 2 hours of bliss. I found great stuff to sell on ebay and a few things for myself.

We ate at Qdoba, fresh Mexican food (one of my favs from Minneapolis). We then ventured to a few more thrift stores. My husband then told me we forgot to get the Veggitales dvd that was set aside for my daughter (at the first store). So, you guessed it, we went back.

If I were 2 different people at the same time, one of me would go shopping, while the other would be taking photos of Zsa-Zsa (my mannequin) in those awesome vintage finds. I guess I would need a third clone to do what God has called me to do. Maybe another one to never cease to pray in the Spirit and make supplication on behalf of all the saints.

I guess I need to trust God to give me the time to do it all.
